The Hohokam "fortified hilltop" atop Black Mesa north of Black Canyon City had 13 rooms when it was built sometime between A.D. 800 and 1100. The tallest walls still stand around 12 feet high. The place has a smattering of petroglyphs as well. |

Hands show up at rock art sites all
the time, but feet are much more rare.
