Picacho Mts. |
||
In a remote corner of the Picacho Mts. – nowhere near well-known Picacho Peak – is a spectacular petroglyph site featuring Hohokam images, along with much older rock art from the Archaric period. The Pimas or some other protohistoric (after the Hohokam but before Europeans) group may have also had a hand in some of the artwork. Actually, this is just one of 19 major petroglyph sites in the Picacho Mts. I'm pretty sure this is the best one, though. |
