Located north of the Grand Canyon in the "Arizona Strip," Snake Gulch contains one of the finest collections of prehistoric pictographs on the Colorado Plateau. The rock art was made over a period of 15 centuries by local Archaic, Basketmaker, Ancestral Pueblo, and Fremont cultures.
