The Verde Hohokam (aka Southern Sinagua) built this cliff dwelling sometime between A.D. 1125 and 1300 along Towel Creek, a tributary of the Verde River. Today, hundreds of bats inhabit these ruins. |
These members of the Southern Arizona Hiking Club probably
don't look the same as they did in the 1990s. The cliff dwelling,
however, does look exactly the same today as it did back then.
