Cottonwood Canyon

 

Cottonwood Canyon winds its way through an obscure piece of BLM land not far from Kanab, Utah. A number of archaeological sites exist throughout the canyon, including the one shown below.

 

 

 

This cliff dwelling originally had

19 rooms. Today, about a half-dozen

remain, plus a sizeable hole in the

ground that once held a kiva.
