Navajo National Monument (Keet Seel)
I did not include Keet Seel in my book because it's hardly "Seldom Seen." In fact, a ranger stationed in a Hogan near the ruin leads all visitors through the site. However, you must hike 8.5 miles (one way, self-guided) through Tsegi Canyon to reach the ruin, and the trek has a good wilderness feel to it. Of course, let's not overlook the fact that Keet Seel is the largest cliff dwelling in Arizona and one of the best-preserved in the entire Southwest. It's a great destination for anyone who loves both hiking and ancient ruins.
