Moqui Canyon

Moqui Canyon is a large tributary of Glen Canyon. Many archaeological sites exist in the drainage, which was occupied by the Anasazi from about A.D. 500 to 1300.

Located near the faint remains of a cliff

dwelling, this petroglyph of a bighorn

sheep has an almost total lack of color

contrast with its surroundings. However,

it's carved so deep into the

rock it is visible anyway.
