Researchers have proposed a number of prehistoric purposes for the Mogollon cliff dwelling on Saddle Mt., but given its fort-like architecture, I vote for the defense theory. Hikers can get close to this site, but rock climbing gear would be necessary to actually enter the lofty ruin.
